Human trafficking is an epidemic that is on the rise in Michigan and even in the community of Battle Creek. One of the best ways we can fight for those trapped in this modern day form of slavery is to cover the areas where trafficking is known to take place in prayer.
On Wednesday, July 19th, in lieu of our traditional Wednesday night prayer meeting, our church family will be prayer walking local hotels and truck stops with the desire to end human trafficking in our area, bring hope to victims, and justice to those who perpetrate these horrific crimes. We urge you to join us as we seek to fight against the darkness of this criminal bondage with the freeing light of Jesus. There are sign-up sheets on both bulletin boards. Please add your name to the list so we can be sure each site is visited and that prayer guides will be available for everyone.
Prior to the prayer walk, we will share in a hotdog cookout potluck – hotdogs, buns, and beverages will be provided. Please bring a side to share. The potluck will begin at 5:00 and we will depart for the prayer walk at 6:30.
