Two of Faith Baptist Church’s ministries teamed up on Monday 5/19/14 to help do yard clean up for local residents. The groups helped with raking leaves, trimming trees and bushes, cleaning flower beds, as well as other miscellaneous home upkeep.
Serving Our Savior (S.O.S.) is a church ministry designed to offer assistance in tasks like yard work, general home upkeep, furniture moving, and minor repairs to those in the community who can’t perform these types of services anymore themselves. The ministry, lead by Jeanne Babcock, currently serves quite a few requests per year and tasks are completed by local volunteers.
The Faith Baptist Church youth group had around seven volunteers working an afternoon to make this clean up possible. They were very dedicated in the work they did for the homeowners showing the community that they are obedient to God and a witness to the Gospel.
