In the passage of Luke 21:1–4, Jesus contrasts the offerings of the wealthy with that of a poor widow, highlighting what is truly valued. While the wealthy gave out of their surplus, the widow gave sacrificially, offering all she had. Jesus sees beyond the material value of a gift to the heart behind it. He commends not the size or status, but the giver’s humble faith and sincere devotion. The Lord desires wholehearted faithfulness, generosity that costs something, and a life intentionally lived for His kingdom.
