The Rolling Stones once famously declared, “I can’t get no satisfaction,” and they were more right than they could have realized. They were correct because the things they chased (indeed, that they are still chasing!) are the things that this world has to offer. Billions of people have chased after those same offerings, all coming to the same conclusion as the Stones. They could not find satisfaction. Jesus makes a very different declaration: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” We invite you to join us this morning as we explore what it means to hunger and thirst for righteousness and discover how true satisfaction is provided by God only to those who do so.
