His was raised with strong Biblical training, attending multiple churches in the Battle Creek area throughout his childhood. He accepted Christ around 11 or 12, following in believer’s baptism. During a youth group retreat at age 14, he felt God convicting him of not living fully for Him, and following the retreat I heard a new song called “If We Are the Body” by Casting Crowns. God used these events to help lead Andrew to deciding to be more focused on his faith. Andrew came to Faith Baptist in late 2005 or early 2006 by the request of his friends, the Burdett family. He has participated in many aspects of church life here at Faith, such as playing saxophone in the choir band, serving as Men's Ministry Leader, and being ordained as a Deacon.
