The Ruler

As children, many of us played the game "Follow the Leader," where we go wherever the person who is leading the line goes. Sadly, many of us continue to play that game as adults, but with much more serious consequences: when our leaders are evil, our culture tends to grow in its wickedness. We need a ruler who can lead us in perfect righteousness and bring everlasting peace. Too often, we look for that leader in all the wrong places, missing the truth that God promised to send us His Messiah in the most unusual way and from the most humble of origins.
