Praying through Pain

Habakkuk's second recorded prayer reflects the prophet's struggle with the divine plans that had been revealed to him regarding God's use of the Babylonians to punish Judah. In the midst of this pain, Habakkuk remembered God's faithfulness, eternality, and holiness, providing us with an example of how we too can trust in God's unchanging character, especially in times of doubt and pain. Habakkuk calls us to actively engage in worship, prayer, and life in the community of faith that is the Church as we navigate life's challenges. God's love for us and faithfulness to us remain steadfast even when our circumstances seem overwhelming.
