Set Free, Returning to Chains

Why would someone who has been set free from slavery willingly return to bondage? In this message we examine Paul's urgent warning to the Galatians against abandoning the freedom of the Gospel for the slavery of legalism, religious rituals, and self-righteousness. We discover the glorious truth of the Gospel: Jesus Christ lived in perfect obedience, bore the curse of our sin upon the cross, and rose again so that sinners might be justified by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, and adopted as beloved children of God. Finally, we are reminded that our salvation rests not upon our religious performance but upon God's sovereign grace, calling us to reject every substitute for Christ and live joyfully in the freedom of those who are known, loved, and redeemed by Him.
